Piqué likely to make an early return for the 'Clásico'

Trains with the rest of the group and is not ruled out

Gerard Piqué trained alongside the rest of his team-mates during the Saturday afternoon session and not on his own, as some expected. As a result, Piqué hasn't been ruled out completely for the 'Clásico' against Real Madrid this Sunday and could make an appearance given Barcelona's problems in defence.
Tito Vilanova is without Carles Puyol, who injured his elbow against Benfica and will be out for two weeks, which leaves only Song and Mascherano, both midfielders, to play in the centre of defence against Real Madrid. This pair hasn't proved to be very tight at the back on the previous occasions they have played together in this position, which explains why Piqué might return earlier than expected.
The central defender injured his left ankle against Spartak Moscow and has subsequently missed Barcelona's last two matches.
José Mourinho, Real Madrid's manager, expressed his hope that Piqué would be fit in time for the match. "I'd rather everyone was able to play because these games are watched all around the world. If Piqué is doubtful then it's only because of something small, so we will be prepared," he remarked.
