Luis Suárez analyses Mallorca-Real Madrid game

Luis Suárez is the only Ballon d'Or winner to have been born in Spain –Alfredo Di Stéfano was a Spanish citizen, but had been born in Argentina– and was the man who handed over the European Golden Shoe award to Leo Messi.
The former Inter Milan player and manager of several clubs once worked with José Mourinho and knows the Portuguese coach well.
"Let's start with the basics. The most essential part of any team is its midfield. This is where all the plays are decided. The defence and attack are important, but if the midfield doesn't use the ball well and doesn't work hard it makes life difficult", he told MARCA in his post match analysis of the game between Mallorca and Real Madrid.
Joaquín Caparrós was right when he said "Real Madrid can score a goal out of nothing". Real's first goal came from a rebound, scored by Gonzálo Higuaín. "Higuaín is a good striker, whether he scores or not", Suárez added. The second goal came from the boot of Cristiano Ronaldo. "Ronaldo strikes the ball just like (Ferenc) Pancho Puskas used to. A slight bounce then a drilled shot. It's not so easy to execute. Ronaldo with his right and Pancho with his left", Suárez said.
"If Mourinho's teams take the lead they are very difficult to beat. In terms of tactics, he manages the games extremely well. There's no denying that. Real dominated the game. Modric keeps things simple. More so than Özil, but the German is a top player", the Spaniard said.
"If you give teams like Madrid too much space, they'll make you pay for it. Ronaldo's movement must be admired as well as Mourinho's substitutions", Suárez concluded.
