The Barcelona manager lauds his player

The Barcelona manager, Tito Vilanova, paid homage to his player Lionel Messi, who was awarded the Golden Boot this Monday as the top scorer in the European leagues, saying he doubted he would "ever see another player" like him.
"I've said it several times. I really don't think we'll see another player like him, and if we do it won't be for quite some time", he told a press conference at the Camp Nou after the team's training session and official photo.
The Catalan club's coach pointed out that the qualities of the Argentine ace don't just lie in scoring goals, but also in "his understanding of the game, which is what he does best. His abilities in terms of both attacking and defending".
"As an example of what a legend he is, if we're short of players to defend a corner, then he'll run 35 metres to defend that corner. And he'll do it when the team is winning 5-0 with 89 minutes of the game played. I don't think many other players would do that", he said.
But Tito didn't just have kind words for 'La Pulga', he also heaped praise on Andrés Iniesta, who celebrates ten years since his first-team debut this Monday.
"Iniesta is the very embodiment of what training at 'La Masía' means. He made his mark at a young age and now he's ended up being a star around the world. It'll be difficult for Barcelona to get another player of such a high quality from grassroots football", said Vilanova.
