15 clubs are again back in the "Top 100" !
FC Bayern München - the World's Club Team of the Month for September 2012
The continental club competitions in Europe, Africa, Asia and the two Americas have again led to considerable changes in the Club World Ranking. Currently there are eight South American clubs among the "Top 17". Espérance Sportive de Tunis improved to 42nd place and is with it is clearly the best-placed African club in the Club World Ranking, ahead of the two teams Al-Hilal and Al Merreikh from Omdurman (Sudan). Juventus FC Torino continue its unbeaten series in the Serie A also in month of September and improved for 17 places to position 34.
A total of 15 clubs managed to return to the "Top 100" in month of September. Those clubs who improved by a hundred or more places in September in the Club World Ranking, are Cotonsport FC de Garoua (Cameroon), AC Léopold Dolisie (Congo), Churchill Brothers SC Goa (India), Kano Pillars FC (Nigeria), CD Marathón San Pedro Sula (Honduras), Unisport de Bafang (Kameroon) und Salgaocar Sports Club (India), which are now all among the "Top 455".
The World’s Club Team of the Month for September is FC Bayern München ahead of Paris Saint-Germain FC. The South German team won all its national and international matches and achieved the highest number of points (34) world-wide in the month of September. The French team also won all its matches, but played one league match fewer. The club from Munich has given impressive performances in recent weeks and is for the 8th time since the year 2000 the World’s Club Team of the Month.
In the "Top 100"
there are clubs from 37 countries: 66 clubs from the UEFA, 26 from the
CONMEBOL, five from the AFC, three from the CONCACAF, three from the CAF
and none from the OFC. The following leagues are represented by the
most clubs in the "Top 100": Brazil (8), Spain (7), England (6), Italy
(6), Germany (6), Argentina (6), France (5), Netherland (4), Ecuador
(4), Belgium (4) and Romania (4). The "Top 10" for each of the four
football continents - South America, Africa, Asia and CONCACAF - are as
