Barça looks to make history in Mallorca

Barcelona has an opportunity to make history against Mallorca. A win will match Real Madrid's achievement in the 1968/69 and 91/92 seasons – winning ten games, drawing one and remaining oblivious to the taste of defeat in the first 11 league games. Real Madrid also managed ten victories in 61/62, but lost one game.
Madrid is the only team that Barcelona has faced this season which has managed to take away a point from Vilanova's men. The game against Mallorca comes on the back of the defeat by Celtic in the Champions League, but the Liga is clearly a completely different ballgame for Barça.
Vilanova does not underestimate the Mallorca side led by Caparrós, a coach who has already created many problems both for him as second in charge under Pep in the past, when he was at Athletic. Despite the Catalan coach's fears, the Vermillions' stadium has not been a bad venue for Barcelona having won the last three games at the Iberostar. In fact, Mallorca was unable to score.
Barça has not lost two official games in a row since the end of last season, when Chelsea took the Azulgranas out of the Champions League in April and then Real Madrid gave the final blow to any league hopes at the Camp Nou. Just days later, Guardiola announced that he was leaving the club.
