Cristiano scores almost everywhere he goes, but there are still two La Liga stadiums where he has yet to find the back of the net. One of these is the Ciutat de Valencia stadium (the other is Riazor). During his last two visits to Levante, neither CR7 nor Madrid scored, losing one game and drawing the other.
The Portuguese hopes to put an end to his personal goal drought. Not scoring in two straight games isn't exactly the end of the world and seeing his stats, it won't be long before Cristiano is banging them in again. He didn’t score against Zaragoza, in a game week in which neither Messi nor Falcao scored. He didn’t score in Madrid’s 2-2 Champions League draw against Borussia Dortmund either.
Two league games without a goal shouldn't overshadow the fact that he is only two goals behind Messi, who leads the goalscoring charts on 13 goals and he’s also the Champions League's current top scorer and has scored in Madrid's last three away games. The goals keep going in and Cristiano is now only two goals shy of Gento’s 126 goals as the sixth highest league goalscorer in the club's history.
Only Messi can equal or better Cristiano's statistics and that's why they remain favourites to win the Ballon d'Or.
