"When we want Cristiano, we'll talk to Madrid", the French club's president, Nasser al-Khelaifi told MARCA on 21st September. According to 'La Gazzetta', that might have already happened. Mourinho and Cristiano's agent, Jorge Mendes, would have arranged an interview between the PSG board and the Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez. In that meeting, Sheikh Al-Thani's representatives would have offered €100m, as well as meeting the player's wage demands of €18m per year after tax, an amount that the Spanish club doesn’t want to pay (it's offered a new deal worth €14m per year).
According to the Italian newspaper, PSG's owners would also accept Cristiano's request that José Mourinho move there with him, although it reports that this deal isn't yet finalised, but should this happen, any titles won this season by Carlo Ancelotti wouldn't be enough to keep him in the job.
