The central defender comprises the main addition to the 20-man squad, with Sergio Busquets temporarily absent as he completes his second and final suspension, and Adriano out for three weeks after he was injured on Saturday.
Piqué has been out for seven weeks, with more complications than anticipated after spraining his left ankle on 19th September. However, Tito Vilanova can now rely on the centre back to alleviate the problems which the team has had in this area, which has featured as many as seven players: Piqué himself, Puyol, Mascherano, Song, Adriano, Bartra and Busquets.
In addition to Piqué, Leo Messi also trained with the squad after leaving the pitch in the game against Celta on Saturday with a severe blow to his right knee which silenced the Camp Nou.
The Argentinean star should not have any problem facing Celtic and helping to secure the team's mathematical qualification for the round of 16. Vilanova once again named a third goalkeeper, Oier Olazabal, as well as Sergi Roberto.
