Djukic: "Nothing to lose and everything to win"

Valladolid manager Miroslav Djukic believes his players are in a calm state of mind as they prepare for Saturday's match against Real Madrid at the Zorrilla stadium. "We know we have nothing to lose and everything to win. All eyes will be on the game and the players have the chance to show what they can do", Djukic said in Friday's press conference prior to the encounter against José Mourinho’s side.
The Serbian coach said that there was no special tactical plan to face the defending league champions apart from "staying true to the team's style of play" – a team that has only lost once at home this season, against Betis.
"It will be a very difficult game, but we’ll try to cause them problems when we have possession of the ball, although we have to be prepared to have spells without it", Djukic added.
Djukic then went on to heap the praise on his team’s opponents: "They can kill you off in many ways. You may think you're playing the game of your life and they stick two goals past you. We can beat anyone on our day and we need to have our day to beat Real Madrid", the coach mused.
"We have to believe in ourselves. The fans will be with us and we'll go out to win. We are all together at Valladolid and the fans' support will be vital. We want to compete against them. They are one of the best teams in the world and it’s our chance to see if we can match them", the man at the helm of the Valladolid team concluded.
