Khedira's back to give Essien a deserved rest

Khedria, Mou's top player, is back. After being injured in Dortmund, just 15 minutes into the game, the German midfielder's return will add balance to the midfield, and will also allow Essien to have a break after becoming tired over recent weeks.
With the German central midfielder lining up alongside Xabi Alonso again, Mourinho will be happy to have his favourite starting pair of holding midfielders both fully fit. Khedira will be back to light up the league in Real Madrid's white shirt, something he hasn't been able to do since the game at the Camp Nou. Mourinho's plans have been seriously affected by a long list of injuries and he's been eagerly awaiting Khedira's return for some time now.
Essien, on the other hand, didn't train with the rest of the team on Friday and it seems that he'll be rested for today's game, after having played in Real Madrid's last nine games in the league, cup and Champions League. This run of games has taken a physical toll on Essien, and the rest Mou's lined up for him should suit him down to the ground.
Today's game will be Khedira's return to the hallowed turf, once more stepping onto the stage to do battle for Real Madrid. Next up: a European clash in Manchester. His team will depend heavily on his talents for this European tie, but he should be back to top form for it.
